    Description

This FJ has been thoroughly and meticulously built with all variations considered. I know of zero short cuts that have been taken with this build. Sure you can change out certain items that you prefer but overall it's ready for the shows, cruises and of course the rocks and trails! I have owned it for 3 yrs now and there has been zero issues. She needs to head back to the rocks and trails and not sitting 99% of the time. When the FJ does go out it's Sat. night for a couple of hours once every 2 months. Since its completion it has never left the asphalt! Extremely sad :(
L31 Vortec MPI V8, Locked Dana 60's, and fully worked Kings suspension. Saginaw ps, Warn 8274, 4 wheel disc on 40's.
The tub was stripped then modified with round tubing over the wells and is seamless. The tubing was also followed to the top of the tail gate then the fabrication went to the front end. The hood is completely hand formed as well as the flat fenders with heavy 16 ga sheet metal. Gone are the ripples and spot weld dimples. At this point it was primed with PPG Omni high build primer and then finished with a base, clear PPG Matrix.
The first modification was applied to the frame. Front to rear is fully enclosed with rectangle tubing. Sides of the tub are now secured with 1 1/2 tubing and the full cage is tied to the frame making it extremely ridged with zero flex. The current wheelbase is modified to 104" and has a width of 80". The cage was designed to still maintain with in factory specs. and allows for the factory hard top to be installed with no clearance issues.! The bikini top is a
    Haartz
stayfast canvas top built from a company that builds tops for boat t-tops. The seats are new Sparco and a Bestop rear fold and tumble bench seat. All seats have safety belts. Aluminum fuel cell is tucked up high behind the bench as well as the air tank. 1/4 steel plate was used to protect the trans and transfer case. Exhaust is also high for clearance and exist through flow masters. There are doors included (custom not oem)  however no hardtop.
The engine is a GM L31 350 Vortec with roughly 60K on the odo.
When the engine was transplanted a high output oil pump along with hp electric fuel pump was installed.
The MPI allows this monster to fire up the first time every time. Cooling comes from a aluminum multi core radiator with electric fan. Temp stays at 190 no matter the outside temp even sitting at idle or in town driving. Air compressor comes from the new GM A/C compressor and runs to the tank in the rear. Transmission was
    completely
built and is the bullet proof TH350 with HD clutches and a Thor heavy hammer 1700 stall TC which is the perfect match for this type of set up. This FJ is on new 40's and the rig has no problems turning them with Trail Gears 5:13 F&R  locked with Detroit/Eaton True Trac's. Axles are Dana 60 with 35 spline full floating hub and rotor assembly. It sports Warn manual hubs and drive plates for the trails.
Traveling down the interstate at 70 mph the FJ turns 3000 rpm's.
The belly of this beast is protected by a 1/4 steel plate covering the pan, transmission, and transfer case. Even the engine has protection integrated from the tranny mount and frame. Suspension is based on the tried and true design that Jeep guys have used for many years. The front is a single - sided radius arm and panhard keeping everything square. 2- 5/8" Ballistic joint were used for the frame mounts from the 2" od 1/4 wall DOM tubing. 2" Stienjager poly bushings ends at the axles and Artec Industries rod ends for the upper radius arms and Currie Johnny joints for the ends of the panhard. The rear of this FJ is certainly trick. It uses a Texas Two Link or a Grader ball in the center for complete articulation. This design is currently being used by winners of the King of the Hammers. This FJ has King Shocks all the way around as well as steering stabilizers. Then we added ORI struts to put the icing to the cake. Currently we run a low 90psi in the Kings and the ORI at 370psi of nitrogen. Very smooth and soft riding on the road.
Steering comes from a Saginaw ps with a cross steering conversation. Turn lock to lock with your index finger. The sway is handled by Currie Antirock and tool less quick disconnect. True Beadlock wheels.
Interior has rubber hex mat through out with drain holes. Carbon and Kevlar custom dash and center console as well as the door sills, lower cage, and speakers panels. The steering wheel is origional OEM with special horn button center cap. Turn signals, hazards lights, dash lights, fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, temp gauge, air pressure gauge, wipers, horn  and Tach all work flawlessly as they should. All the wires were removed and new 14ga wires were rerun. All wires are loomed and tied. Led headlights and tail lights as well as drink holders! GPS by Garman and stereo is Alpine with Diamond Audio speakers. It has a iPhone holder/charger as well as a battery charger which is solar on the dash.
If any one wants to consider a fly and drive I am located near Pensacola Beach. Come see the worlds whitest beaches and plenty of sunshine. I personally guarantee this FJ will make it cross country. If you are looking for a turn key FJ to just jump in and go then this is for you. This FJ has never broken down nor left me stranded.
