This Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is a variant of the
40 Series
. With a slightly longer wheel-base than the
FJ40
, the FJ43 was produced for a limited number of markets around the world until 1984. Because of its more limited production, they were never sold in the United States, and its larger cabin configuration than the FJ40, they have become more desirable by Toyota collectors and enthusiasts alike. Their drivetrain dependability has become legendary.
This 1978, FJ43, Toyota Land Cruiser is a left-hand drive example which was imported to the US from Colombia and is reported to having a restoration completed a few years ago. Restoration includes a repaint, new upholstery/ top in tan, new aluminum American Racing rims, new tires, and numerous mechanical components. Front windshield does show heavier scratching and will be replaced before you take ownership (or we can deduct its cost from the agreed sale price, your choice.).
We drove and shifted this FJ43 a few miles which sat at idle during photos/ videos without issue or overheating. Its appearance, simplicity, and construction are impressive. All exterior/ interior panels look in great shape including the undercarriage!
