casino $.50 cent/half dollar brass full proof gaming/slot token
(1967 FM Franklin Mint, obsolete token, property opened in 1946, still operating today)
from Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Proof-like" tokens are limited edition versions made by the Franklin Mint for collectors. "Proof-like" tokens are identical in design to the regular strike version, except they have a highly polished/reflective finish, uncirculated, and are excellent for collecting. "Full Proof" tokens were originally made for casino presentation, they are even more limited than "Proof-like" versions and have even higher detail/embossing with a more frosted finish on the edges (likely struck with a different die). Around 2000-2500 proof-like sets and 500 full proof sets were produced each year from 1965-1968.
This token is smaller (30 mm or 1.18 inches) than a standard 37 mm diameter (standard slot size from 1965-2000s) size and made from solid Franklin Brass.
As you can see in the pictures below, this token is in excellent, uncirculated condition, as shown
(and has a more polished appearance in person, due to the angle of lighting)
