ARGENTINE ERIZO BRAND PARATROOPER GLADIUS BLADE KNIFE AIRBORNE JAN/05/1981 DATED ('70S TO '80S PRODUCTION) MARKED WITH DATE, ARMY UNIT AND CITY ON BACKSIDE OF SCABBARD
Knife in G+ condition. Original scabbard. Used.
Carbon steel chromed
plated
gladius blade, it was used and sharpened, use can be seen in photos of blade alone, some rust pittings under chrome plating can be seen on left side of blade, threaded rat-tail tang.
"Integral" aluminium "D" guard and black plastic handle with 4 grooves for finger. A chromed plated steel screw with internal female thread secures the assembly through a black plastic spacer. The dark brown leather scabbard is the original to the knife, complete, neither broken nor missing parts, sewed, but 10 cm / 4" at left side of scabbard are unsewed and some sewings lost at back side of frog (please see last photo), the leather is sound and fresh (a bit os wax will be welcomed), with original hilt strap with fastener, steel scabbard throat and fastener button are black enamel painted.
On backside of scabbard it is marked (please see photo #11): SF.V. DE CATAMARCA
