    TREADWELL, ARMED WITH A SUB-MACHINEGUN AND HAND GRENADES, FEARLESSLY & SINGLE-HANDEDLY ASSAULTED ONE AFTER ANOTHER,
    SIX (6) FORTIFIED POSITIONS (
    PILL-BOXES) KILLING OR CAPTURING 18 OF THEIR CREWS, INCLUDING THEIR COMMANDER. HE ALSO CAPTURED  THEIR WEAPONS. HIS HEROISM INSPIRED HIS COMPANY WHO STORMED AFTER THEIR LEADER OVERWHELMING THE ENEMY RESISTANCE OVER THE ENTIRE HILL'S ENEMY POSITIONS.
