With each order you are getting 15 mL of 24K yellow gold (brush) electroplating gel. Please note that the container may be much larger than 15 mL so that the content does not appear to be full.
This is normal and not to be a concern of quantity or quality.
This solution is intended for brush electro-plating on small projects. This solution (gel) is highly concentrated with a concentration of 5.0 grams of fine gold content per liter. It provides a quick deposition of 24K gold at a low voltage (2-5V DC). Please refer to the 3rd picture for a brief illustration.
This small package allows clean operations and prevents large waste from possible contamination. With easy setup and cleanup, this makes your gold electroplating job an easy task.
All orders are filled by highly experienced chemists to guarantee the quality of final products.
This chemical is in a gel form to prevent running on brush plating to save the precious gold chemicals. Please check out the pictures for some simple instructions. It does not contain any free cyanide to keep your work environment safer. If the solution (gel) ever gets dryer due to evaporation over the time, adding drops of distilled water will restore the applicability. Do not dilute the gel too much as it may become watery and runny. Do NOT place any metal objects in this solution directly.
Suggested equipment to have other than this solution:
- An adjustable DC power supply (with a min. range of 2-6V)
- A conductive plating brush made from stainless steel or graphite (gold or platinum works too!)
- Ammeter (measuring DC current) for easy troubleshooting of the setup
- Vinyl gloves
It can be applied by a stainless steel (or graphite) wand with an absorbent tip or sleeve and a relatively simple power supply. The third picture next to the title is a simple illustration of a sample setup. You are welcome to ask questions before or after the purchase.
