A superb and rare photo. Shown is
Evel Knievel
on one of his
Harley-Davidson XR750
jumping bikes. The photo was made in the middle of the 1970’s. Note the Ceriani forks and the Dell’Órto carburettors. The bike was tuned and modified for Evel’s jumping needs by Roger Reiman, another famous name in motorcycling history.
Evel Knievel is without doubt the greatest stuntmaster EVER. What he did is totally not comparable with the jumps today’s stuntmasters make on bikes that weigh halve the weight, accelerate much faster and have 6 times more suspension travel then Evel’s H-D XR 750!
