    Description

These Brass Body Field Glasses are marked "12" "LENSES" on the rear face of the rearmost yoke , indicating that they were the then highest quality of achromatic galiiean binoculars / field glasses.  Made by "LEMAIRE FABt"  "PARIS" (as marked on the two rear eyepieces - separated by their Bee Logo).  They measure 4 3/4 inches high when closed, and 5 3/4 inches high fully extended by 5 inches wide across the objective lenses.   Objective lens are approximately 50 mm, and ocular lenses large 22 mm diameter.    Excellent condition leather covers.  Note that the sun shade/ hoods are tight but do move 7/8 inches forward.  I thought they were the "False Type Hoods"  but a prior owner had reversed the hoods so they would not move over the diameter of the Objective lenses mount's rim.  Front face of the top body yoke is stamped  with the Bee Logo of LeMaire, and 'MADE IN" over  "FRANCE". The rear right side of the top yoke for the tubes is stamped with "30599" - I assume the Serial Number.  These are small in height  but high gallian binoculars power and quite dense in weight due to all the lenses.
