    Description

A superb and rare photo of the
Harley-Davidson XLR TT Sportster Class C racer
with the 1950s Class C racing ace
    Joe Leonard
    .
    Joe Leonard, born in
    1932 in
    San Diego
, wrote history when he won the
    first ever Grand National Championship
    in
    1954
.  Incredibly, he repeated this fact in
    1956
    and
    1957
.  Not only did Leonard win the
    Daytona 200
two times, but he also set a record that stood for no less then 30 years (!) when he won a total of 8 national races in one year!
Joe is seen sitting on his H-D
    1959 Harley-Davidson XLRTT Sportster
.  A lovely and highly sportive machine, that was, at the time, the most powerful production motorcycle in the world.  A great and historic picture, as the XLRTT was one of Harley’s most raciest models ever!  It was the successor of the KHR flathead.
This is a very nice and very rare
    non period
photo that reflects a wonderful era of Harley ‘s motorcycle history in a wonderful way. This is your rare chance to own this photo, therefore it is printed in a nice large format of ca. 8" x 12" (ca. 20 x
    30 cm
). It makes it perfectly suitable for framing!
Shipping costs will only be $ 7.00 regardless of how many photos you buy.   For 5 or more photos, shipping is free!
