    Description

Nice Early Antique IDENTIFIED Nurse in Uniform, Identified and Dated 1905, WWI or Spanish American War Related
    DESCRIPTION:
This is a very nice, very early antique WWI/Span Am War related photo of a young nurse in uniform.  This is one of the few that I have ever seen for sale. Especially nice with the identification and date.
Scans show all the details. Wearing cap, high button collared blouse with cuffs, long frock apron, watch, and insignia pin (probably denoting her training school or hospital).
Nice black & white tone, in very good condition. Emulsion has a tiny crack in it which is barely noticeable, especially if it is mounted or framed.
On the reverse in fancy script ink is "Compliments of May to Mama, on her birthday Sept. 4, 1905". Also, below that in pencil is (prob. her mother's name)
"Mrs. Julia Ayers, 30 Boston St., Salem Mass".
Also has a nice fancy cord looped at top which was probably used to hang it on the wall.
    SIZE/CONDITION:
    Measures 4" x 8 1/2"
