    Description

    The Tanzania 1,000 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Bank of Tanzania in 2019. The blue note features the first president, Julius Kambarage Nyerere on its obverse. It also shows the coat of arms of Tanzania, the Bismarck in Mwanza Harbor, and a holographic patch. The reverse depicts a coffee plant and the State House (Ikulu) building with a flag in Dar es Salaam. The note contains a windowed security thread with a demetallized BOT 2019 and a watermark that reveals Julius Kambarage Nyerere with an electrotype 1000 and Cornerstones. The note is 125 x 65 mm in size and is signed by Florens Luoga and Philip Mpango. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
