Here is a
World War I US Army Enlisted Collar Disk
.  You have a WWI AEF Enlisted US Collar Disk.  It appears to be a scarce variation and/or was theater made.  It has a smooth flat disk with no decoration and an embossed US.  This would be worn on the field tunic or an overseas hat.   It has a screw back post with threaded washer.  The US Disk is at least 103 years old in about fair condition.
