    Description

The AEF (American Expeditionary Force) was a formation of the United States Army on the Western Front of World War I. The AEF was established on July 5, 1917, in France under the command of Gen. John J. Pershing. It fought alongside French Army, British Army, Canadian Army, and Australian Army units against the Imperial German Army. The American Flag on the pennant has 48 stars. The flag is the only place of seeing some deterioration of the fabric from age, but overall the pennant is in very good condition.
The pennant was made by the Chessler Company Manufactures in Baltimore, MD.
It was obtained at an auction that consisted of much WWI memorabilia. This pennant an amazing piece of history that is over 100 years old!
