This auction is for ONE (1) antique CHASE & SANBORN souvenir spoon commemorating the ending of World War I.
THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING ENVELOPE SHOWN IN THE LAST PHOTO
OF THE SLIDE-SHOW IS
NOT
INCLUDED!
I ADDED A PHOTO OF IT BECAUSE THE SPOON HAS NO MAKER MARK
& THE ENVELOPE BEARS THE MANUFACTURER'S NAME.
THE FRONT OF THE SPOON HAS:
A FLYING DOVE CARRYING A BANNER THAT READS "PEACE"
& HAS THE YEAR DATE OF 1918
THE BACK OF THE SPOON READS:
"ARMITISE ENDING WORLD WAR
SIGNED NOV 11th 1918"
SINCE THE SPOON READS "WORLD WAR" RATHER THAN "WORLD WAR I";
THE SPOON MUST HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE TIME PERIOD BETWEEN WWI & WWII.
